Private Eyes Screening Group
Keeping an Eye Open for Employers

In 1999, an organization struggled with 121 cases of workers’ compensation, unemployment, workplace violence and more. When they reached out to Sandra James seeking a solution, little did they realize that they were about to turn the whole game around. Over the years of using services rendered by James’ firm, Private Eyes Screening Group helped the firm enhance its screening program, and within years, the number of cases came down to 2, saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars annually. This is one of the numerous success stories created by Private Eyes, an employee background check company on a mission to “make safe workplace possible”.

In an era where an organization’s productivity and credibility is only as good as the people who work there, it is imperative that pre-employment screening is efficient, robust and has a minimal rate of dispute. Private Eyes makes this possible by marrying strong technological prowess with a team of individuals highly committed to their mission of making workplaces safe everywhere. In order to screen the employees prior to employment, the organization leaves no stone unturned. To achieve this, Private Eyes’ screening ranges from the Department of Transportation (DOT) and criminal records to drug screening and education verification.

Catering to a number of industries, transportation and logistics companies form a significant part of the clientele.

To ensure best practice are practiced in the transportation industry, DOT requires commercial drivers license drivers to stay in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. In partnership with a national provider for drug screening, Private Eyes ensures that the hiring organization is compliant with the annual requirements. Also, the motor vehicle record service makes it possible to find information on an individual’s driving history in a state, proving important for any employee driving the firm’s vehicle or on behalf of the firm during business hours.

The social record of an employee plays a major role in their reliability and performance, as well as, how safe fellow employees feel around them. To this end, Private Eyes’ screening through criminal, sex and civil offenses makes it possible to keep miscreants out of the picture. To assess an employee’s financial responsibility, the firm also performs financial and credit profile check. This form of screening looks for any public information of judgments, liens, and bankruptcy, and the relevant information can prove critical in hiring a person for important financial roles.

In parallel, Private Eyes also performs professional license checking to ensure that the required licensing is done for doctors, lawyers and other professions that require authentic service providers. With online application tracking, employers can track applicants and perform a background check on them. In addition, looking through government and international watch list can have a critical impact on employers and co-workers.

While the use of these searches can be useful in hiring the right and responsible candidate for a job, it can also serve more than one purpose. Private Eyes’ civil record search proves useful while doing business with contractors or outsourcing projects or services to individuals. The service provided by the screening group can be extremely beneficial before teaming with a new business partner, collaborating or signing merger with a firm. The lack of any negative records during these important decisions can empower the management teams to take a careful, calculated and informed decision.

The firm sets itself apart from competitors with a 0.5 percent dispute rate and ensures at least six attempts to perform a complete verification. With a live person customer service between 5 AM and 5 PM Pacific timing, the firm ensures that there is no miscommunication and no questions go unresolved. With a less than 48 hours turnaround time, Private Eyes’ clients are highly appreciative about priority tasks being conducted in less than a day.
